well, i told you id keep you posted, and well not much has happened over the last little while. just the usual stuff living in a small northern ontario town. although i have found a new job, so you drivers arent going to be safe for much longer. if you see a bright orange truck driving down the road, with schneider on the doors, LOOK OUT!!!
lol
im coming for ya. but ya, here ive got a long haul job, and im all excited, i start feb 17th, thank god, cause this sitting around trying to find things to do (that dont cost money) really sucks.
although i have caught up on alot of reading, and video games that i missed out on while working at showa lol. anyways, when i know more, ill let you know more.

well, its been a while since i have posted, and i thought id have more to tell, except for the fact that i have recently been laid off. not that my driving career is over, but i just wont have anything on the hook till after newyears there. stupid driving companies. anyways, i think im going to be weighing my options, and checking my lists, and so far ive come up with go somewhere else. been thinking there are tonnes of carriers out there, and noone should have to put up with incompetence in a company, yet we all do on a daily basis. but hey, anything could happen over the next little while. but i will keep you posted, im just not sure how often is all. so you should be safe on a monthly basis here. but thats all i feel like writing today, so just know that ill keep you posted, and your safe on the highway for a little longer, but just know that i will be out there soon enough.

well, i have finally managed to get enough motivation to post yet another entry to my infamous blog. well, i have now started driving a rig, and im loving it. Im currently doing local shunt runs, which means i do alot of driving nowhere, but hey, it is valuable experience. So far in my hundreds of kilometers of going nowhere i have nearly drove off the road, flooked every one of my back ups, and used my highway horn on about 3 cars. all in a weeks work i say. lol. one thing i have really noticed is that when you weigh about 100,000 lbs, it is tough to get up to highway speeds, and hell, it is tough to stop it. one time i almost gave someone a 100,000 lb enima, lol. and you thought hospitals were mean. anyways, my first week as a driver, muskoka has entrusted me to my OWN truck, good ol muskoka transport 975. it has a brand new matress, and 850,000 miles on her. yes, thats miles. see i dont mind that, cause hey, she is my gem. anyways, if you see good ol 975 out on the road, look out, cause shes a tired old girl, and she dont like to slow down. one good way to know if its me barrelling down on you, is if the lights are flashing, the highway horn is blaring, and if you can hear over that, some serious gear grinding. lol. yes, im still a noob, and those gears are bound to be round by the time i have to trade her in. anyways, i think that is enough for one entry, until the next, hammer down, and smooth sailing drivers.

AHH, the view from my bedroom window in the morning. I had to do it, isnt that beautiful?
so into the second entry, and well, i waited long enough, i now have a job with Muskoka Transport, and i cant wait to start on wednesday. Things dont seem to be going fast enough, although i can see them moving alot quicker when i actually get into the regular bump and grind yet again. Though lots of things have happened in the 10 days, that i conveniently waited for my second post, not too many things are worth spending the time writing to you about, nor are they worth you reading about, except for a few things that stick out in my mind. I just recently found out that the main population of women in Haliburton are actually Lesbians. At first i couldnt believe it, but after a few of my excursions, and trying to start conversations, i am a true believer that this may be unfortunately true. The other unfortuante part is the fact that Chasing Amy is actually a fiction movie, so i cant learn anything from that either. Im also guessing that this is a good thing, that way i wont be tempted in staying after the 6 month period in which im planning on staying in Haliburton.
Anyways, the other thing that stood out over the past little while is that even people with jobs in cottage country dont live in cottage country, so there are not only people that commute to Toronto, but there are also people that commute from toronto, north. Now i want to say that this world is crazy, and things really dont make much sence, but this is the most confusing thing that i have found out about around here. I met a woman when i was doing my drug test, and she told me that she lived in barrie, and she was working in Bracebridge. now im not being judgemental (hey, she didnt live in Haliburton, so chances are she isnt a Lesbian ;) ), but id think that someone with an education could find a job a little bit closer, and not have to drive across 3 snow belts to get to work. but hey, thats just me, who am i to talk, i drove the 400 every day for 4 years, and that wasnt much better, talk about rat race. lol.
Well that is going to conclude my thoughts, and next time it should be at the most 7 days until the next time i post, so keep me in your favorites, and keep on checkin.

Well folks, here it is, my very own blog. with pictures, and stories, bound to keep everyone interested for minutes at a time.

So where should i start here. well, im currently typing on a small towns library computer, after hours, and my mother is sitting next to me. great to know people in high places. haha. at least i can find internet up here in the wilderness. if you dont know where in the wilderness i am currently located, then it would be Haliburton Ont. and where in Haliburton might you ask. well, ask and you should find out, if not, i dont want you to know where i live okay, so stop asking.

alright, so i might as well bring everyone up to speed for today, it would be a monday November 6, 2006. and well, alot has happened over the last few months. i have chosen unemployment over employment, finished a course, and got a new license. lived in 4 places at once, and put 35000 km's on my 04 Jetta. sounds like ive been busy? well i have, just imagine, i still have time to brush my teeth at night, change my underwear in the morning, and at times (im hoping), write in a blog.

anyways i might as well let you know what this blog is all about, it is going to be a picture and story book for me to tell you all about my daily or weekly or monthly experiences on the interstates, 400 series, and trans canada highways that i will be travelling on. sure the pictures will be out of the window of a transport truck, sure my stories will tell you which gear i was in, but hey, they should be interesting. who knows what kind of roadkill ill be able to see, how many cultures of people will flip me the bird. and godforbid, how many lizards come to my door (yes, i will take a picture of every one of them for yous out there, then post them, and for the record, turn them away).

does that sound interesting? well it does to me, thats why i started it, its just too bad that i cant start my on the road stories yet, i have to find a job, but hey, when should i get started? tomorrow? haha, i have the interenet at my disposal today, so it starts today.

anyways enough wasting space, and trying to be funny. keep tuned in, and you will soon see the fruits of my labour, or the roadkill of the week.
